Hi everybody,

Just wanted to let Paul Sensei, Leslie Sensei, Georg Sensei and everyone in the club know that Becky and I became proud parents to Alicia Rachel Maria Jummun at 1.25 a.m. last Saturday.Just like her dad, she was two weeks late and clearly enjoyed being warm, regularly fed and living rent-free (albeit in Becky's womb !!)

Mum and baby are both doing well - dad's absolutely frantic, feeling sleep-deprived, nervous, forgetful and over-enthusiastic, so no change from normal really, only less crying !! Back at work after spending the latter half of my half term in P'boro. Maternity Unit, in fact I willingly go to work now just for a break!! Jokes aside, I hope that those who graded successfully passed and that everybody in the club is continuing to live and train both happily and healthily, in and out of the dojo. As for the sleepless nights, I've had a few, one of them helped little Alicia to be born nine months ago, apparently!

I relish the prospect of returning back and training with you all. Being honest, I really miss the fun and friendship of you all just as much as developing my JJ skills, knowledge and understanding, especially so over the last couple of weeks when I've been unable to attend. In closing I look forward to returning back to training once we begin to develop a bit more structure and routine with Alicia - failing that, I should be back with you all next week !! Until then, keep up the good work, one and all, keep smiling and stay safe.

P.S. My wife wondered if the desk that we donated to the dojo has fallen apart yet as she knows how limited my D.I.Y. skills are !!

Hi Andy, Congatulations to you both, sleep will come eventually (11 years or so) everyone is looking forwards to your return and there is a bag with your name on at mayhem.

Tell Becky that the desk is fine (your DIY skills are no match for my big drill)

Congratulations to you both Andy.
You must be delighted and a little relieved that the wait is over.

Lee, as always, your last comment made me chuckle. "Baby Gi"s, the new must-have this season! Dragon's Den, here we come!! Another fine Gibson & Jummun collaboration. I'm opting for the neon pink, diamond, lace and sequin model with fur-lined cuffs, and ... oh, sorry, is that too much information, guys? After the last couple of feeds and changes, I'd definitely recommend the plastic, wipe-clean version as opposed to her dad's towel robe version, the absorbancy comes in useful with the amount that I normally sweat during training!!

As for the bag with my name on it at Mayhem, let's hope it's a Prada one - with two ladies in the house now I'll be up-to-date with all the latest fashion accessories. I also think that pink is also going to become a more prominent colour in my house. Warning,..., testosterone, ... needed, ..., must recite mantra, beer, rugby, cod & chips, whiskey,..., beer, rugby, cod & chips, whiskey,... I was going to say stout and bitter, but it would only remind me of the mother-in-law!!

Keep smiling, keep up the good work and enjoy the calm and serenity that comes without my incessant chatting!! As for the drill, Paul, please keep it handy, as after two restless nights on the trot from Alicia I'm prepared to try anything!!
